Rachel Krohn

Choir Director

Rachel directed her first choir in high school as a student conductor of middle school singers at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, and has since directed choirs for decades in Sammamish and Bellevue. An accomplished soloist, Rachel’s true joy has been choral singing, beginning at 8 years old with the Melody Lane Singers in Yakima, WA and continuing in Iowa as part of the Des Moines Children Chorus’ touring choir. A fan of many genres, Rachel’s high school jazz choir performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and as a singer in the University of Washington Chamber Singers a tour of the Baltic countries inspired her to study the unifying power of song and the “Singing Revolution” of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Rachel has long dreamed of facilitating a choir that fosters community and encourages joy, where singers of all ages and levels of experience can grow together in the collective making of hopeful music.
