Jenni Monillas

Pianist/Accompanist

Jenni Monillas is the pianist/accompanist for the new Crossroads Community Choir. She grew up in the north Seattle area and started playing piano when she was eight or nine years old. The next year she started violin lessons and continued with both through high school. Jenni and her three sisters play the instruments to form a string quartet, so that is a fun fact. In tenth grade, Jenni began organ lessons and continued through college. A few years after college, she also picked up the viola which has become one of her favorite instruments.

Beginning in Junior High and continuing through college, Jenni was a choir, ensemble, and solo accompanist. Her maternal grandfather said she was the best at it (may have been slightly prejudiced though). She has played service music for countless churches and chapels, and has accompanied and done synth work for community choirs. Playing with others is a joyful experience for Jenni, and she is very grateful for this ability.

Music touches everyone in so many ways, and Jenni enjoys most styles, especially those with inspirational lyrics and moving melodies and harmonies.
